THE CHARACTERISTICS OF SEVERAL COMMON BLANKET FABRICS

    Polyester staple yarn is often blended with cotton, wool, linen, viscose, etc. The fabric not only maintains the characteristics of polyester, such as firmness, wear resistance, stiffness, and easy collection, but also has the characteristics of natural fiber moisture absorption, warmth retention, and less static electricity. Common polyester fabrics mainly include knitted shirts, blanket fabric, warp-knitted decorations, curtains, etc. Compared with polyester and nylon:

1. All are synthetic fibers in chemical fibers;

2. High strength and good abrasion resistance: widely used in clothing and industrial applications

3. Poor air permeability, sultry and uncomfortable to wear, and easy to generate static electricity.

Differences (Polyester and Nylon):

1. The specific gravity is different. Polyester 1.38, Nylon 1.14

2. Polyester fabric is not easy to wrinkle, and is stiff, with good dimensional stability and good shape retention. Nylon has poor shape retention, is not as stiff as polyester, and is easily deformed.

3. The melting point of polyester is 260C, and the ironing temperature can be 180C. The heat resistance of nylon is not good enough. The ironing temperature should be controlled below 140, and the low-temperature resistance is good.

4. Nylon has high strength, good elastic recovery ability, excellent wear resistance, better hygroscopicity, and dyeing than polyester.

5. Polyester is resistant to sunlight, acid, and alkali. Nylon is alkali-resistant but not acid-resistant and has poor light resistance. Long-term exposure to sunlight will reduce the fiber strength and turn yellow in color.

6 Nylon weaving feels smoother and has a higher surface gloss. Clothing is more suitable for sportswear, swimwear, fitness clothes, socks

7. Polyester is cool and firm, strong, elastic, and not easy to deform. Nylon has wax light, strong strength, good elasticity, and is easier to deform than polyester.

 Cotton cloth raw materials include bleached cloth, poplin, medium color cloth, double warp cloth, linen cloth, colored Lin cloth, and so on. Among them, the texture of the linen is slightly loose and hard, and the rest of the texture is relatively loose and has a certain viscosity. This kind of raw material is suitable for making products for personal use, such as sheets, quilt bags, pillow bags, pillowcases, etc.

Chemical fiber: Commonly used chemical fiber raw materials are polyester cotton, pure polyester (also known as nylon), and terylene. This type of fabric contains synthetic fibers and has a small shrinkage rate. Compared with cotton fabrics, it has poor temperature resistance, especially nylon fabrics. Special attention should be paid when ironing. The biggest feature of chemical fiber fabrics is that the texture is thinner, the hand feel is smoother, and the products made of them are more gorgeous and beautiful. Trilon and nylon fabrics are ideal raw materials for cutting embroidery. Suitable for making tablecloths, curtains, and all kinds of lace.
